Who will comfort Toffle? theatre play at Jyväskylä City Theatre in Finland

Jyväskylä City Theatre will present a play based on Tove Jansson’s picture book Who will comfort Toffle?. The premiere of the play is on Thursday, March 3rd, 2016.

The book was first published in 1960. The lonely Toffle leaves his home to look for friends, eventually finding the Miffle and rescuing her from the Groke. Who will comfort Toffle? is a timeless story full of hope.

This musical puppetry play at Jyväskylä City Theatre has a significant role theatre historically: Jyväskylä City Theatre is the first professional theatre in Finland which equally uses both Finnish and sing language. In this play the sign language has an important role in maximising the artistic experience.
