Theatre plays based on the original work of Tove Jansson

Here are a few recommendations about upcoming theatre plays in Finland, Sweden and Norway based on the original stories by Tove Jansson:

Outokummun Teatteri presents: Who Will Comfort Toffle? by Tove Jansson.

Premier at Outokummun Teatteri 13.03.2015 and after the premier the play is available for schools and cultural events on request. More performances for public from July 2015 onwards.

Viirus, Swedish-speaking theatre in Helsinki, presents a puppet show Tales from Moominvalley. The play is on request for kindergartens, schools etc.

Lahti City Theatre presents a play based on the short story collection Rent Spel (Fair play) Tove Jansson wrote in 1989. The play portrays the close friendship between two women. Dramatization by Pipsa Lonka.

Performances: 28.1.2015-16.5.2015.

Vaasa City Theatre presents: Tove Jansson – Moominland Midwinter. The play consists of acting, puppetshow, animation and project.

Performances: 6.9.2014-23.3.2015.

MasthuggsTeatern in Gothenburg, Sweden presents: Tove Jansson – Tales from Moominvalley (Det osynliga barnet).

Played on tour and in Masthugg Teatern on 28.4.-7.5.2015.

Performances: 12.2.-30.4.2015.
