Teija, a Finnish mother of three children, is obsessed with the world of Moomin miniatures. In spring 2014 she found herself fiddling with all small objects and for example twisting the wire and making tiny chairs of it. At flea markets, all small-size products were a must have and one day Teija had an idea in her mind. The construction and interior decoration of a mini house would be the following steps for her in the world of miniatures.
Collecting Moomin mugs by Arabia has been a shared hobby for Teija´s family and their mug collection has always been at the heart of their home. It was quite natural to combine these two hobbies together by doing miniature Moomin mugs. Besides the mugs, Teija has already made different Moomin plates and trays, as well as felted Moomin characters. Take a look at these beautiful Moomin miniatures!
Teija’s dream is to build the entire miniature Moominvalley with Moominhouse and its characters. At the same time, she wants to encourage also other families to make handicrafts at home together with the children.
