Arabia’s new limited edition Moomin’s Day 2021 mug portrays the first day of spring. The beautiful mug comes for sale soon, and below we’ve listed some questions and answers regarding the sales.

When will the mug become available?
The mug is released on the international Moomin webshop on August 9th, 2021 at midnight UTC +3 Helsinki time (the night between Sunday and Monday). You can find a time zone converter here if you want to check what time the mug comes for sale in your time zone!
Where can I get the mug?
The mug will be available on the international Moomin webshop, as well as our German and UK webshops.
A smaller batch of mugs will also be available in the physical Moomin Shops in London, located in Covent Garden and Camden. Please remember safe distances, face masks and other security measures when visiting the brick & mortar shops and stay home if you feel unwell. We recommend using contactless payments instead of cash.

What’s the price of the mug?
The price is 29.90 euros.
If you order from outside the EU, you might have to pay value-added tax and a customs’ fee. In Norway, we pay the tax for you directly.
How many mugs can I buy?
The purchase limit for the mugs is 6 pieces per customer.
Will the mug be reserved for me when I add it to the cart?
No, items added to the cart on shop.moomin.com are not reserved. The item is only reserved for you after checkout.
Will the mugs run out during the day?
The mugs will become available at midnight (UTC +3) on August 9th and they are sold as long as the stock lasts. It is not possible to give an estimation on the availability.
Can I reserve a mug in advance?
The mugs can’t be reserved in advance. If you want, you can join the waiting list on our webshop to be notified when the mugs are in stock.
We will have a special stock reserved for Moomin Fanclub members. Join the Fanclub here and you will receive a secret sale link before Monday. The conditions of the sale are the same for the general sale and the secret Fanclub sale and we cannot reserve mugs or guarantee you will get one.
When will the mugs be shipped?
The mugs will be delivered on a first-come-first-served basis starting August 9th. We anticipate a rush of orders and there will likely be delays in the shipping times listed on moomin.com. If you are located in the UK or Germany, we recommend that you order from our local sites moomin.co.uk and moominshop.de.
What is the design of the mug like?
The illustration on the Moomin’s Day mug originates from Tove Jansson’s book Moominland Midwinter from 1957 and the book of songs, Visor från Mumindalen from 1993.
The hand-drawn illustration portrays an atmospheric spring day and the evening sun. It is the first day of spring and the river flowing through Moominvalley is free of ice. Moomintroll and Moominmamma are sitting on the railing of the bridge, waiting for Snufkin, who returns from his long travels after winter. You can read more about the illustration here!
