The Tokyo International Great Quilt Festival takes place on 23-29 January and this year Moomin is one of the themes.
Illustrations used in the Moomin stories will be represented in approximately 50 quilt works at the festival exhibition this year. In addition to that, the Moominvalley and the Moominhouse will be reproduced in a three-dimensional image.
Quilt artist, teacher, author and designer Yoko Saito, will produce these Moomin works at the festival so there’s lots of things to see.
The entrance fee is ¥1,800 (12,5 €) in advance; ¥2,000 (14 €) at the door. Happy quilting!
