The Göteborg Book Fair in Gothenburg, Sweden is the largest cultural event in Scandinavia, established in 1985.
At the Moomin booth B08:01, co-hosted with the publisher Förlaget, you’ll find Moomin goods from the Moomin licensees together with recently published new editions of Tove Jansson’s original books.
Purchasing Förlaget’s books with over 500kr, you’ll get enormously popular Friendship Moomin mug by Arabia as a free gift. The mug is only sold in Finland and on moomin.com.
Don’t forget to visit also the Bonnier Carlsen booth at B02:02 where the new Moomin books will be presented for the first time! At the Göteborg Book Fair, you will also have a great possibility to learn from the new Moomin books as several seminars are organized on Thursday and Friday. Göteborg Book Fair in Gothenburg is open on Thursday and Friday only for trade visitors and after 2 pm on Friday also for the public. Moomin and Little My will also be visiting Moomin booth every day and also Bonnier Carlsen booth on Saturday and Sunday at 11.45-12.00 and 13.45-14.00.

Brand Licensing Europe in London in 2018 features the brand new Moomin stand! The Brand Licensing Europe fair connects the worlds’ most influential entertainment, character, fashion, art and corporate brand owners with consumer goods manufacturers, licensees and retailers. It’s a meeting place for the global licensing industry, whether you are looking to spot trends, build strategic partnerships or secure promotional tie-ins.
Naturally Moomin, as a globally lucrative licensed brand, will have a presence at the fair. The booth at the Exhibit Hall – C40 has recently been redesigned and is more innovative and filled with inspirational Moomin products than ever!
On 10th October at 11:00-11:45 Sophia Jansson, Chairman and Creative Director of Moomin Characters Ltd together with Marika Makaroff, Executive Producer of Gutsy Animations will hold a seminar: The Moominvalley Animation Series – creating a brand new take on a beloved heritage brand.
In 2019, Gutsy Animations in cooperation with Moomin Characters will bring the Moomins to life in the animated family TV drama Moominvalley. The animation is created using a cutting-edge technique with a unique visual look.
During this session, learn how to create a new visual style and storylines that work for artistic and merchandise purposes, while staying true to the original stories loved by millions of fans.
The fair is only open to trade visitors, unfortunately, access is not available to private visitors.
